Runnin' Utes put together first win streak of the season

TWO IN A ROW!

How 'bout that?

Sure, it's just Portland (who actually beat Utah last season), but I think we'll all take wins whenever they present themselves.

Utah is now 3-8 and have cleared the possibility of being the worst Big Six team in college basketball history.

Hopefully this is really a turning point and more wins follow.

Leading the Runnin' Utes tonight was senior Josh Watkins, who has definitely responded well since his suspension earlier in the month.

Now the Utes will travel to Ogden Thursday for a road game against Weber State. Can they win three in a row?

Should give us an indication of where we're heading...

If the team is really improving or if we’re back to getting blown out by average teams.

Not ready to get excited just yet, but hopefully this is a good beginning.

Only living in Utah for 2 years out of the last 40

WTF is the Big 6?

Go Cuse. Go Utes. Go Kings (hockey version). Go Panthers (hockey version). Go Marlins. Go Dodgers. I despise the NFL and NBA, so don't bore me.

Utah looked actually decent the first half.

They went back to form the second half, but they built enough of a lead to cushion the setback.

It also helped that Portland missed 4 free throws in a row down the stretch, all when the score was tied.

BUT!!!! The take-away is that we put together a very decent first half, probably good enough to beat half the teams on our schedule. And that’s not even an exaggeration. (If we can do it two halves in a row).

Agreed...

Sloppy second half. But it’s all about confidence and momentum at this point.

We’re not a good team and won’t play like a good team. So, small victories.

That last sentence is the important one.

And one that needs to be remembered and chanted by all Utah fans, all season long.

Jiggy is a damn black hole

But when we spread the ball around we didn’t look half bad! I was expecting much, much worse, as this was the first game I have watched this year.
