Utah football signs Po'u Palelei
The Utes announced today their signing of Po'u Palelei, a 380-pound offensive lineman out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Palelei had originally committed to Arizona State back in 2007, however, was forced down to the junior college level, where he played one season at Eastern Arizona. He redshirted in 2009 and then attended Salt Lake Community College in 2010 - where he obviously didn't play because the school lacks a football program.
Palelei was a four-star recruit out of high school and originally held offers from both the Arizona schools, as well as Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State.
This is definitely a nice pickup for the Utes.

Need some big studs for the Pac 12
College football over the NFL any day. College basketball way over the NBA any day. Go Orange. Go Utes. Go Kings. Go Dodgers.
380?
Wow. Have fun moving that! Let’s hope he’s not lazy!
I like how he invested enough to get back to the D1 level...
Lots of players who have to drop down to the junior college level never make it back up because, unfortunately, they give up on their academics.
The fact he made the initiative to do the course work needed to transfer to the U is a good sign, IMO.
He carries it well

Not a tubby guy at all, just freakin’ enormous. Here’s to hoping he can make best use of those physical gifts.
That man is huge. lets hope he can open some huge holes for are rb's.
The University of Utah is off to the Pac-12 Conference and will be in the South Division. Hopefully we will get to the first ever Pac-12 Championship Game. Jon " Bones " Jones gets his chance for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title when he faces off against Shogun Rua. Jon Jones will win.

That's a large kid.

Holy smokes!
The photo makes him look like he can take down a freight train.
Smug self-righteous judgment of others does not make you classy. Going out of your way to call people classless does not make you even classier.

So how much eligibility does he have left?
It’s clear he has lost at least one year of eligibility and his redshirt. Does he lose a year when he didn’t play at SLCC?
From what I understand
An eligibility clock is 4 years from when you enroll, but can get 1 year back as a redshirt.
So yes, even though he went to a non playing school, a year elapsed. So I’d bet he’s got 2 years with us.
