Utes could be playing in their final Mountain West Conference game

Tonight just might prove to be a game of finals. It could be Utah's final Mountain West Conference game ever. Its final game of the season and, more importantly, maybe the final game of the Jim Boylen era.

This is the backdrop to Utah's game against the San Diego St. Aztecs, who are hoping for a deep run in the conference tournament to bolster their NCAA seeding.

For the Runnin' Utes, though, they're playing the role of spoiler. Will it be enough to beat a team that twice beat them soundly this season?

I don't know. But as TCU showed earlier today, anything is possible once March rolls around. In their game against the BYU Cougars, the Frogs led at the half and held their own the entire contest before eventually wilting down the stretch.

If TCU can nearly knock off the Cougars, certainly Utah can give the Aztecs a run for their money - right?

We'll see.

If not, then a history's worth of rivalries comes to an end tonight.
