We all know that the Pac-12 is looking for a new TV Contract. The Big 12 just signed a new TV Contract for themselves. Jon Wilner discusses what the Big 12, and upcoming NHL contracts means for the Pac-12. Basically it all boils down to two things.
If Comcast loses out on the NHL, they will be desperate for live sports, with only one possible domestic product available.
And that the Big 12 contract shows just how badly Fox wants to put live sports on Cable (F/X), but needs more live sports to really pull it off.
One last important point. Fox and Comcast, aren't the only two entities out there wanting more live sports, with Turner, and Disney wanting more live sports.
All of this means Larry Scott is smiling.
