Red-White game photos
Hey all! I hope you got out to the game today and enjoyed yourself. I met a few of you and that was nice. Sadly, I didn't really get to meet all of you (maybe we should plan something or somethin').
But anyway, I'll recap the game later (quickcap: offense struggled, defense looked good, I'm optimistic about the running backs, great crowd, great game, fell on an old lady - we're both fine, got a sunburn, the red tailed hawk flew away, I saw Norm Chow - so good day), but until then, here are some photos I took (after the jump...)

I hear conflicting reports on attendance.
The zoob news says 12,000
The U says 15,000
The largest crowd ever of over 15,000 was in attendance as Utah prepares to enter the Pac-12 Conference this fall. New Pac-12 logos were sewn into the Rice-Eccles Stadium turf this past week and were on display for the first time.

It looked close to 15,000...
This was the first time ever they opened the east stands and there were a good amount of fans on that side (though not nearly as many as the west side).
Last year, I think it was around 10,000. The addition of the east stands, with a few rows of MUSS members, puts it closer to 15,000 than 12,000.
Either way, it was a great turnout and remarkable how things have changed so much over the last 10 years or so.
Anyone remember when they held the Red-White game at East High’s stadium? I think it was McBride’s final year and then they moved it to RES in 2003 when Meyer took over.
How about that for growth?
The only crowd disappointment I had...
.. was the MUSS. MUSS Attendance was weak on Saturday.
That said, it was awesome to turn around and see the West side so full. I was sitting at North side 40 yard line at about the 6th row. Didn’t realize how packed it was till I turned around as the game started on saw a full side.
Nice shots -thanks for sharing
The PAC-12 banner outside Rice-Eccles is inspiring.
You must’ve had a pretty good seat and what camera/lens were you using to get some of those closer shots?
