Has LSU transfer Aaron Dotson signed with Utah?
LSU shooting guard Aaron Dotson has apparently signed with the Utes, the Husky Haul reports.
Dotson is a former four-star recruit out of Seattle, Washington who signed with the Tigers back in 2008. He also held offers from Louisville, Washington and SMU.
However, last month, Dotson announced he was leaving the LSU program and had been courted again by Washington - but appears to be heading to Utah.
Dotson's reason for leaving is his mother's health. She was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and he would like to play closer to home.
This season, Dotson averaged just under 7 points and 26 minutes per game for the Tigers.
He scored a season high 17 points in their season opener against Northwestern State.

Well Utah is closer to Seattle than Louisiana
But it’s still a decent flight from either location. It was understandable when he want to transfer to be closer to his mom, but it sounds like maybe the offer from Washington wasn’t as solid as he thought. That’s unfortunate if it is the case.
On a team with not a lot going for it the last 2 years, Dotson was a decent guard. Best of luck to him.

new guys
I saw from the LSU BB site, that indeed Dotson was a 4 star recruit in 2009. Obviously he has talent.
Hopefully he can shoot. In my opinion, we need consistent shooters. Not guys who can do 360 dunks.
Meh.
He’s not bad… Not really the salvation of the Runnin’ Utes. Still, a step in the right direction.
