So Utah's Assistant AD Zack Lassiter tweeted out an interesting link today. He linked to an article about which coaches do more with less.
Of course our very own Kyle Whittingham made the list coming in at 8th. It took the average recruiting class, versus where that coaches team usually ends up. Since it follows coaches, not schools, it explains how Brian Kelly of Notre Dame came on the list at 10, because it's mainly his years at Cincy that are affecting his ranking.
This ranking confirms what I believe is a big reason why Utah will eventually succeed in the Pac-12. With all the cards stacked against Utah, they've still managed to be successful. Just imagine when the playing field is closer to level.
On that site they also rank all active and inactive coaches in Division 1 since 2001. In these rankings, Coach Whit came in at 14th, which makes him the 2nd highest ranked Pac-12 coach, behind only Chip Kelly.
