Sasquatch a.k.a. Jordan Wynn has been spotted.
Jordan Wynn throwing has been as mythical as Sasquatch so far in camp. We've heard about it happening, but it just hasn't been seen.
OC from The Zone has given his scrimmage report, and he did confirm, that Jordan Wynn is alive and throwing. He said that he looked like he had good velocity, and didn't really notice any other hitches in Wynn's throwing. Also said he was the best of the QB's today, going roughly 9/17 for just over 150 yards. He did have a 26 yard score to Luke Matthews.
He said that it looks like there is a clear number one and number two in the Running back battle, and today that was John White IV (or as he's been called Juan Blanco), and number two was Tauni Vaukapuna.
Honestly if Vaukapuna does creep into those top two spots I'm perfectly happy slapping a red shirt on either Langi or Palamo.
According to OC Langi struggled with the second unit, but did mention that the second unit defense is miles ahead of the second unit offense.
Also apparently the defense had three returns for TD's including one by Nate Fakahafua

um
the second unit defense is miles ahead of the second unit defense?
Nothing to see here, move along
Oh and thanks. Fixed
Still not making sense to me

What does the second-string defense being way behind the first-string defense have to do with a second-string RB not doing as well today? Doesn’t that mean Langi performed even worse than expected?

The official press release mentions that
the first string OFFENSE is well ahead of the second string OFFENSE. Says nothing about the defense. In fact, it gives rave reviews up and down the boards. If OC reported that about the defense, he must have been watching something else.

2nd string defense is miles ahead of 2nd string offense
Meaning that Langi played with a lesser unit against a much better defensive unit.
Thanks. That makes sense.

Report today
Sounds Like Wynn practiced again Saturday and Today.
Also sounds like the Offense is making strides according to OC’s report today.
also heard that
KFG reported that he saw Wynn on Saturday throw six passes in a row. Each had the perfect velocity. Each was timed perfectly. Each was a perfect read. Most importantly, each was right on the money.
And OC’s report got me REALLY excited about Nate Fakahafua. He has made 5, yes 5 interceptions during camp. And he has been a great pass rusher. This kid is going to be a STUD.

Honestly I LOVE how camp is shaping up so far.
Before I start I just gotta say Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, 1000 Times Knock On Wood.
Now that’s out of the way, I think, even with the OL issues so far, this is shaping up really well for Utah.
Hays is solidifying himself as a backup QB.
We have another Super Freshman Safety making his name.
Mo Lee making a name at CB.
The DLine is proving to be a Utah DLine. In other words awesome.
And what I like the most is that Vaukapuna has pushed Langi/Palamo into third on the depth chart, which means a possible Redshirt for one, or both.
Add in what looks like a possible Shreve Redshirt, and I’m liking the future of this team.
P.S.
Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood, Knock On Wood,
Only recently I realized the depth chart has a RB for every class
1. White – Junior
2. Vakapuna – Senior
3. Palamo – Sophomore
4. Langi – Freshman
And I’m definitely okay with the two upperclassmen leading the depth chart. We’ll see if that lasts through camp.

Upperclassmen is a bit misleading
Because the only one of those 4 who have actually taken a D-1 snap is Vakapuna. Other than that The Junior, Soph, and Freshman all have an equal number of carries – 0.
I'm thinking of eligibility.
So Palamo and Langi possibly need more time to develop? That’s fine, because Vakapuna will graduate next year, opening up a spot, and White will graduate the following year. I really like all four guys. I would to see all four get significant playing time during their careers.
