Utes have good first scrimmage

Stay connected for news and updates

Utah's first scrimmage of the season proved successful enough and even Kyle Whittingham claimed it to be one of the more efficient of the last few years.

Jordan Wynn returned to the practice field and had a pretty good day, though he did throw an interception and botched a few exchanges with the center. Wynn finished the scrimmage 9 of 17 for 152 yards and threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Luke Matthews

Once again, John White appears to be distancing himself from Thretton Palamo and Harvey Langi. Neither two had a bad performance Thursday, however, Whittingham has been on the record saying he wishes Palamo and Langi were more explosive than they've been recently.

White, at the moment, looks like the favorite to start against Montana State.

It wasn't perfect at times, but it's good to see Wynn throwing and by all accounts, he feels good.
