Anthony Denham to play this year?

According to Lya's blog, the Utes hope to welcome Anthony Denham back to the field today.

I guess I am eating crow on this one.  I thought for sure that since we hadn't heard his name over the last week and a half, that the coaches would be redshirting him.

But I guess I have to wonder about the wisdom in this.  And yes, before you ask the question, the answer is 0.  I have never won a college football game as a coach.  Still, is this wise to throw the kid out there now?  He missed all of fall camp.  Why not throw a redshirt on him, let him REALLY learn the system, and come back at full strength next year?  True, he could just as easily have the same thing happen next year, but it makes me wonder.

I guess I have thoughts of Aiona Key still.  Apples to Oranges comparison, I know.  But I just have always felt like Aiona's career was largely wasted by being thrown into the fire without much prep time.

Obviously, Whit knows much much much much much much much much more than I do, but I am skeptical if AD comes back to play this year.
