Trevor Reilly named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week

Stay connected for news and updates

After leading Utah's stingy defense to a dominant 54-10 win over rival BYU, defensive end Trevor Reilly was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.

He becomes the first Ute ever to win the conference's player of the week honors and it's well deserved.

Reilly forced three fumbles, had two sacks and had one of the biggest defensive plays of the game when he sacked Jake Heaps, causing him to fumble on his own six yard line. It set up a Utah score early in the second half to balloon the Utes' lead to 30-10, essentially putting the game away.
