Trevor Reilly named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week
After leading Utah's stingy defense to a dominant 54-10 win over rival BYU, defensive end Trevor Reilly was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.
He becomes the first Ute ever to win the conference's player of the week honors and it's well deserved.
Reilly forced three fumbles, had two sacks and had one of the biggest defensive plays of the game when he sacked Jake Heaps, causing him to fumble on his own six yard line. It set up a Utah score early in the second half to balloon the Utes' lead to 30-10, essentially putting the game away.

What was the third fumble?
Not trying to take anything away from Reilly as he clearly was a stud and deserves this award, but what was the third fumble?
BYU had 6 fumbles.
Fumble 1: Brown hiking the ball over Heaps head, Heaps becoming a Spazz, and Shelby getting a TD.
Fumble 2 was Chaz Walker putting his head where the ball was and causing Quezada to cough it up.
Fumble 3 was Star Lotuleilei punching the ball out from DiLuigi at Utah’s 3.
Fumble 4 was JD Falslev Muffing the Kickoff return, Mo Lee recovering at Utah’s 3.
Fumble 5 was Reilly sacking Heaps at the 6 causing, and recovering the fumble.
Fumble 6 was Reilly sacking Nelson, causing the fumble, VJ Fehoko picking it up and turning on the afterburners.
I don’t get where he’s getting credited with 3 Forced Fumbles.
muffed Kickoff
I know that Mo Lee recovered it, but didn’t Reilly get there first?

Game to tell his kids about
Trevor Reilly was a one man show!! What a game he had! His number #49 was in the byu backfield and on my ESPN2 sponsored TV screen all night!
He's not done
Reilly is a player I’ve been high on all year. Especially after the spring game where he dominated.
The nice thing is he’s only a sophomore.
I like our young guys.
Let me tell you about Dres Anderson!!

It's a D Player's Dream
Sack the QB, land on the ground, and still get up and grab the fumble. Only thing to make it better would be to scoop it up and take it 99 yards the other way.
If anyone found my snowboarding gloves after storming the field following the 2004 TDS game, I want them back!
Heaps first fumble just made MNF's "Come on Man!" segment...
EXPOSURE BABY!

And he isn’t even a starter. Dude is a beast.
Dolphins and sharks are natural enemies. Dolphins are like, "Quit eating us," and sharks are like, "Stop smiling all the time, you morons."
