A Utah win against the Dogs means?

What does this game mean to the Utes? Simply put a lot. The Utes have shown improvement in every game and shown they can hold their own against tuff well recruited teams like SC. A win Saturday against the Dogs keeps them alive in the PAC-12 South race with the potential deciding game next week against ASU. If the Utes demonstrate that they can control Price like they did against SC then there’s absolutely no reason to think they can’t do the same against the Devils.

A win this week will also gain the team the respect they deserve, but are not getting nationally. The PAC-12 in general get’s little attention from the national media. This is despite the play of teams like Oregon and Stanford. Where’s the love? A win this week will get Utah more votes towards breaking the top 25 which is what has become something we as fans expect.

A win during the team’s first PAC-12 home game will make the fans go nuts which is going to be an absolute rush for the players and coaches. Fans will be knocking down the doors for tickets to next week’s game to see if we can pull off the huge win and get a huge step closer to a first year bid to PAC-12 Championship Game.

I’ve seen constant improvement and I know our coaching thru the bye will put us in a great position to win at home. Now they just need to come in stoked up, continue to force turnovers, not give the ball away, and continue to keep penalties to a minimum. The Utes can do this and I think they will!

Big play will equal a big win. Go Utes!
