Just got back from seeing Star Lotulelei receive the Morris Trophy
Had a great time today and due to the snow we have been getting here in Seattle there ended up only being a handful of people there. It was a great time and due to the small crowd I had a chance to talk to Star and on behalf of Ute fans thanked him again for coming back next year. Star is a class act and hopefully he is up here next year to receive the trophy again. Thanks to those that were able to come and show their support. It was pretty obvious that Star didn't expect any Utes to be there but was really glad that we came out.
I taped his portion of the presentation in case you wanted to see it.

I didn't get to make it.
The drive from Everett was just too dangerous with all the Washington drivers not trained for snow and ice like they are in Utah ;).

Utah drivers are trained for snow?
When did this happen?

As bad as Utah drivers are in snow...
The northwest it’s worse. Wife and I were in the Portland/Vancouver area a couple years when they had a storm, that wasn’t nearly as bad as we get at least once a year, and it completely shut the cities down.

The Cities shutting down probably doesn't have as much do to with the drivers
as it does with the cities ability to deal with the snow. They don’t have the equipment to handle large snow storms, because they don’t have to on a regular basis.
Same in the South
I was in Georgia during a particularly nasty winter. Regularly was dropping to the 40s and there was a real chance of some snow. I thought it’d be cool to see, until I realized the whole state would shut down since there likely wasn’t a snow plow within 500 miles.
If anyone found my snowboarding gloves after storming the field following the 2004 TDS game, I want them back!
Southwest as well
Was in Albuquerque about 5 yrs ago and they got an 11" snowfall that closed their schools for a week and pretty much slowed the city to a crawl.
I was amazed to talk to a co-worker and find out there was 2 snow shovels on his entire block, especially since I have more shovels than that on my back porch alone.

Thanks for Representing on our Behalf!
A rec to you for sure, sir!
Glad there were Ute fans there and that he knew, bad weather or not.

Way to represent!
And thanks for posting the video. That was cool.

Yut. Well done, sir
Thanks for the post and for representing the rest of us!
Very sensational accomplishment
What an honor to be recognized by your adversaries in such a way. Way to represent the school, team, and state. Looking forward to seeing another amazing year on the hill and then a bight professional future.
Thanks for the comments
Looks like Ted Miller agreed so he linked to it via his “lunch links” for today at ESPN.
the music was very good to go with the highlights.
Public Enemy #1 and enjoying every minute of it. Tapology. Peace.
