Storey thrown under the bus?

So somebody commented about Coach Larry K throwing Storey under the bus in the post game interview. I didn't listen to the post game and I can't find any post game comments in the papers. Anybody care to share what was said?

I did, however, see the game and there was an instance where you could see Storey was pretty unhappy. After a silly foul 85 feet away from the basket, Farr approached Storey and gave him a high five and a pat on the head. Storey pulled a CP3, smacking Farr's hands away and yelling something at him (looked like "Don't touch my head!").

Losing as much and as badly as the Utes have this year has got to be frustrating. Hopefully that episode on the court isn't continuing in the locker room. The coaches have their work cut out for them to try and keep these guys interested and playing hard.

I can tell they lack confidence in just the way they shoot free throws. They are missing way too many and then they are shaking their heads with dejected looks on their faces. Let's hope by being at home this week they feel comfortable and are more competitive.

you probably saw it from ComradeCrimson

or HoyosRevenge I guess as he goes by now. He is a really passionate Ute fan who obviously doesn’t like Larry and tends to exaggerate some things. I didn’t hear the comments either, but I did see Hoyos say that, so I am taking it for what its worth. Had he actually thrown him under the bus, the papers would have picked up on it.

As far as who will be on the roster next year?

Washburn-yes
Dotson-yes
Dean-yes (the last two would be stupid to transfer, unless they went down to like Division 3)
Martin-I hope so, as a reserve
Farr-I hope so, as a reserve
Matthews-I doubt it
Odunsi-I doubt it, but I hope he sticks around
Wilkinson-probably going on a mission
Dawson-Doubt it. Amazing to me that with all of our problems with a lack of size, he doesn’t play more. He might stay as a 10th man who can come in and foul some guys, but I dont know.
Hines-should be back, but he seemingly wants to transfer every year.

Agree with you BigBen

You didn’t mention Storey…I think he’s an adequate backup and then hopefully he gets a better long range shot so by his senior year he will be solid.

I project 4 new starters next year. With either Hines or Martin the remaining starter along with Foster, Dean, Dotson, and Loveridge. Here’s to hoping that our new guys will add much needed depth and length.

I think I got Hoyo's revenge...

in Cabo once. Damn, it wasn’t pleasant either… kind of like the site you mention in passing.

Post game ESPN 700

Listen for yourself… the bus could’ve been much, much bigger and traveling at faster clip than that. Hoyo Silver!!! meh.

I just listened to it. If Hoyos thinks that’s a bus, I wonder what vehicle he though Majerus was always driving. Remember how he would hammer Van Horn for his rebounding – AFTER a double digit rebounding effort by Van Horn?

Life’s not roses and I like the honesty that Larry K is putting out there. Hey, if a walk on is smoking you in practice and getting the team into its offense better than you, then you’ve got some stuff to work on.

Larry K gave some good props to Farr, on the other hand.

Whoever thinks...

that is throwing someone ‘under the bus’ should stick to woman’s soccer. Putting up with mediocrity is what got us to this point, it has to stop sometime. I’m glad we have a coach that isn’t afraid to push his players to new heights. Often times that requires a major dose or reality, be it public or private. That’s sports and most importantly that’s life.

Agreed. A once proud program.

Our team is terrible. These guys need a bulldozer to run over them and to get them motivated.

YellowBird

After the game against the Ducks, he is back inside.

YellowBird II

Then after the OSU, with 9 TURNOVERS he is once again back under axles.

So fricking inconsistent. A bipolar basketball player.

Just a frosh...

But still sooooo hard to watch! Hopefully they can feel our support. I’d just hate to see any one of them give up.

But sometimes I feel like driving the bus.
