Foster coming back for a season!!

It is good news for the program and very exciting to have a player who has seen it all coming back for a Senior season. His confidence in the coaching staff is evidently a big factor and with all the doomsday innuendo and rumors about players being run off by this staff, it is a confirmation of where David thinks things are headed and his confidence of a final shot at success for a guy who's given his best effort since his arrival. Good luck to him and for success in the rebuilding process we all hope for!

Size and leadership...

Especially with all the new faces next year.

Very good news

IF he stays healthy, it will mean a lot to have his defensive presence, his senior leadership, and frankly, a guy for whom “Utah on the chest” means something. He’s been through the war that is Utah basketball, and the fact that is means something for him to stay and finish it off says a lot about him and LK.

Here’s to David healing up well and staying healthy for the next 14 months.

If Foster were playing this year....

His impact alone would have given us many more wins in my opinion. We’d still be bad but he makes a HUGE difference in any single game.

I don't know how many "many" is to you. I'd say two or three easily, so far.

I’d say Montana State for sure. Versus Washington and @ Stanford could have gone the other way. Adams State, for whatever an exhibition win is worth. I think we’re in striking distance against UMass.

I think 10 win with or without Foster would have been a miracle this year.

I wonder if 15 is too much to hope for next year?

Many...

Is definitely relative when you only have five wins… I would say about 4 more wins to this point with Foster. Of course that’s just plugging him into what we already know about those games that have been played. The Washington and Stanford games were close and if the games played out the same way with Foster in them, surely he would’ve blocked 2-3 shots and changed “many” more and could have been the difference in those games.

Then of course Montana State should have been a win anyhow and may have been the beginning of the mentality of this team (ie losing). So really, who knows how the season would’ve turned out had we had Foster, a Defensive Player of the Year caliber player, in the lineup.

Boylen/Giaccoletti holdover...

Dolphins and sharks are natural enemies. Dolphins are like, "Quit eating us," and sharks are like, "Stop smiling all the time, you morons."
