The former Utah defensive coordinator is expected to accept the job within the next day.
Gary Andersen, who coached Utah's defense for four seasons, including the 2008 undefeated season, and revived the Utah State program, has reportedly accepted the head job at Wisconsin - ending his four year career in Logan, which included this year's 11-win season - the most victories in school history.
This is a pretty big development locally and could have an impact on Utah football - as you've got to think at least one of their coaches, namely Kalani Sitake, might be a candidate to replace him up in Logan.
Regardless, this is surprising news that we'll have to keep an eye on because I'm guessing you'll hear some Utah names linked either to the head job or some assistant roles in the coming weeks.
