Just thought of something:
In the 2004 season, the Utes went undefeated and won the Fiesta bowl
In the 2008 season, the Utes went undefeated and won the Sugar bowl
Looking at the 2012 season:
- our defense is going to be one of the best we've ever had and one of the best in the country.
- Our QB will return and get depth behind him, our running game will be even stronger, and our Oline will have gotten much bigger and better in depth.
- Though USC will be the South Favorite, they have depth issues all over the place. Also, we play them in SLC after a bye with the Muss cheering the Utes on, and Whit (6-1 after byes) is a better preparer than Kiffen (1-2 after byes if I remember right).
- As for Oregon and bowl competition, I honestly think our D is fast and smart enough to hold them. Also, we've shown over and over that we can hang in there and beat the best of teams
So, in the 2012 season, can the Utes go undefeated and compete for Roses or A National Championship? What do y'all think?
