Now, I know Jazzy does an annual ranking of the coaches in the conference, but this year it looks like Athlon Sports beat him to it. Ted Miller of ESPN had a blog post about it.

Athlon says that Whit is 4th in the conference behind Kelly, Kiffin, and Leach. Miller disagrees and says that Whit, and his past accomplishments fall behind only Kelly. Considering that Kelly has coached three time defending conference champion Ducks, very little debate can be made for that top spot.

I tend to agree with Miller, that Whit is by far and away the #2 coach in the conference. It'll be interesting to compare this to Jazzy's rankings later this summer, but for now we can get a feel for some unbiased thoughts on where are coach stacks up to his conference mates. Be it second, or fourth, either way it shows Whit continues to earn respect.
