For all the progress made during the 2012 recruiting campaign, 2013 recruiting seems to be off to a slow start.
I realize that in 2012 many recruits did not commit until later in the recruiting process and I realize that national letter of intent day is not until February 2013. That being said, it feels like 2013 recruiting is moving along slowly. Maybe it's just me being impatient. Maybe it's my readiness for the season to start. Maybe it's just in my head. Just feels like it's going slower than I had hoped. I keep seeing other PAC-12 teams land recruits and the Utes aren't (the 5 they already have landed, withstanding). I've gone to recruiting sites such as Rivals and Scout and it doesn't look like the Utes are in the running for as many recruits as they were last year.
Is this perception or reality? If it's just perception, can somebody talk me away from the ledge with some evidence that good recruits are still likely? If it's reality, aside from winning, is there hope to turn it around?
