Utah Ute Sleepers for the Upcoming season

Not only on the whole has Utah been a dark horse/sleeper team... we have been built off players who get "slept" on and then become giants...

Last year all talk was on Thretton and Harvey... and next thing you know... 50,000 people are howling every Saturday...

I have a few guys I really like on this team that are not starters or even necessarily 2 deep on the depth chart that I think will have an impact not only on our season, but the pac12, and potentially some national noise...

I figured why the hell not talk about it on block U as the season is coming... but at a dreadfully slow pace...

today... my mind has not been on apply for grad school or jobs... but Kelvin York... of course... he is one of our biggest recruits ever landed... with offers from USC Ole Miss Miami and Washington... so in that sense he is no sleeper

but recovering from a leg injury suffered in his 2011 season had him show up at spring ball... a little... outta shape... a little less powerful than expected... and not overly impressive... in fact I left Spring thinking Oliver was my #2 back outta our deep backfield...

but as York recovers, grows stronger, and learned our playbook...

This beast will not take Wolfman's #1 spot...but he can absolutely impact and win football games for us... when healthy this kid is a horse and can move the chains over and over again...

Predictions for 2012 125 carries 650 yards (slightly over 5 yards a carry) and 8 TDs ...

I think he will be as good a second fiddle as anyone in the pac12 has other than maybe Oregon and he will knock people out in the 4th quarter and set up John White IV for some tired defenses and also set us some play action $$$

... I will talk about a few other guys later in the week just to create a little discussion...

Don't sleep on Kelvin York 2012!
