Well, One of the things that I can't stand hearing from Ute fans and media is that Utah is playing with a BACKUP QB, or a guy who's not a D1 QB. Seriously, what does he have to do to prove to everybody that he's a legit QB?... He went 6-3 as a starter last year when he barely knew the playbook,managed to win a bowl game against a decent GTECH team that he had to lead a multiple score comeback to even bring us to OT. He stepped into the USU game after having almost an entire half run off the clock and started from scratch at 13 points down. He brought Utah back to the brink of winning in regulation with a long field oal that wasn't meant to be and then threw a TD in OT only to have it called back, and then came into the BYU game and moved the ball with his arm in a one dimensional offense that would have looked awesome had we been able to chew clock in the 4th quarter with a running game. I'm just sayin' what else does this guy have to do to earn the respect of Ute Nation? Jon Hays deserves to be called "The Utes Starting Quarterback" at the very least. HE hasd worked his tail off and if any of you doubt that he's a real D1 QB just watch the film from any game this year. Jon Hays, this fan is behind you 100%, and I like our chances to win 10 games this year, our defense is great and will keep teams' offenses down so the games are within reach. The offensive line is "young" which means they'll probably get better every week and get more of that cohesion going to help the run game get going and once Utah's offense is balanced... That means bad news for everybody else. Let's go BAD NEWS UTES!!!
