For a player once without a team, then so far under the radar two freshmen were generating more buzz, the Utah quarterback was hardly complaining. The QB not recruited by any Division I school until a roundabout journey to Salt Lake City last year is now the offensive leader on a squad riding high after a 27-24 [I think they mean 24-21] upset win over rival BYU. "He's tough as nails," Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said of the 6-foot, 208-pound senior. "He takes some shots, and picks himself right back up every time. That mental and physical toughness is infectious to the rest of the team."
To all those decrying our punting game, we do have the top punter in the country. Hackett was also noted this week for his skill at placing the ball inside the 10. We obviously need to work on blocking, but at least our kickers are fantastic.
Just thought Id share my opinion of the officiating and ESPN's vested interest in the game. Even the commentators had a hard time believing some of the calls. GO UTES!!!
