Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Andrew Goudelock scored 20 points, leading four starters in double figures, as the College of Charleston defeated the TCU Horned Frogs, 86-75, in the third-place game of the Charleston Classic.
Dustin Scott accounted for 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and a pair of blocks for the Cougars (2-1), while Jermaine Johnson and Antwaine Wiggins contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The Horned Frogs (1-2) were paced by Kevin Langford who tallied a game-high 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the floor, followed by Edvinas Ruzgas who dropped in 12 points but shot just 3-of-10 from the field.
Charleston knocked down an impressive 58.8 percent from the field, including 6-of-13 out on the perimeter in the first half to take a commanding 49-30 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Cougars slipped to just 1-of-6 behind the three-point line, but thanks to a 10-of-11 effort at the free-throw line the host team was able to cruise to the 11-point victory.
Charleston, which was beaten on the glass 37-27, shot 54.1 percent from the field on the night and held the visitors to just 4-of-17 out on the perimeter.
