Update [2008-3-17 2:6:35 by JazzyUte]: Utah will open the CBI on the road against UTEP, which is interesting since the last time Utah made a postseason tournament, they faced the Miners. They won that game, then shocked Oklahoma to advance to the Sweet 16 before losing to Kentucky.

While the Utes missed out on the NCAA Tournament and weren't given a spot in this year's NIT, they will be playing in the postseason for the first time in three years, Mike Lewis is reporting. It's not known who Utah will play, but they will open on the road. I'll update as soon as I find out their opponent.

Thoughts on playing in the CBI? Not a great tournament, but at least it's something, right?
