An interesting piece from the Wall Street Journal on today's BCS hearings. Unfortunately, it's not going to amount to a damn thing.
Do I have impeccable timing or what? Just a couple days after asking this, ESPN decided to make it official. So now the official poll is up. Go vote. Right now, 2008 Utah is winning nationally and locally. While you're there, also vote for Urban Meyer/ Ron McBride over LaVell Edwards. Why? Because.
A pretty good article about Sean Smith from the Palm Beach Post. "He's a freak of nature," Miami receiver Davone Bess said. "He really moves well for as big as he is. He's very physical. Very physical."
I discussed this yesterday and thought I would provide the link. Meyer also states he has Utah real high in his poll and that they are 'a hell of a team'. Though it seems the reasoning from the Orlando paper for the comment is that Meyer doesn't want to fan any flames if there is a chance the two meet (say in the Sugar Bowl). Sounds reasonable enough for me.
Utah has moved up in both polls, coming in at 8th and 7th after defeating TCU. That loss dropped TCU to 15th in the Media Poll and 18th in the Coaches. BYU is 16th in the Media and 14th in the Coaches.
No movement, though Boise State passed the Utes in the Media Poll.
Utah is ranked 12th in both polls, moving 2 spots up in the media and one spot in the coaches. TCU is now ranked 15th in both polls, while BYU is 18th in the media and 17th in the Coaches.
Still ranked 13th and 14th.
They moved up one spot in the media, two spots in the coaches. BYU dropped a spot in both polls.
Utah moved up 3 spots to 17th in both the media and coaches poll. TCU has cracked the top-25 after their win over SMU, as has Boise State with their win at Oregon. BYU is now 11th in both polls.
