"At Cal, I was an offensive coordinator with a coach who was also an offensive coordinator. I'm excited to get back to running my system. I have nothing but positive things to say about my time there and we'll be implementing a similar system to what we had at Cal, just with my signature on it."
And Johnson might become the fifth quarterback Ludwig, or "Coach Lud" as he's known, has worked with in succession to reach the NFL, joining David Carr, Billy Volek, Kellen Clemens and Brett Ratliff. His acumen in that area might be enticing enough for junior quarterback Josh Freeman to consider staying for his senior year.
"[Snyder] wants to use some multiple offenses and go heavy on the spread," Ludwig said.
