Not sure how many of you care, but Utah is ranked 23rd in NCAA Football 2011. The only other Mountain West team ranked is TCU at 8th.
I'm surprised. I thought they'd drop out. I'm not entirely sure we deserve this ranking after that performance.
Now that's some respect.
Not bad. But let's be honest, folks, this top-25 sucks. Seriously. Arizona? BYU? Wisconsin? Cal? Virginia Tech? You know we're having a season of parody when those teams are cracking the top-25 this late in the season with some embarrassing losses.
Movin' on up!
They're 24th in the media poll and 29th in the Coaches. Another win next week will put them in both.
Not a surprise. I don't think anyone expected them to move up after that performance. BYU is 7th in the AP, 9th in the Coaches. TCU 15th in both.
BYU 9th in the media and 12th in the coaches.
Just more proof we rock. ;) 17. Utah Utes, selected by Mark Schlabach The Utes are the only team in the country to have two perfect seasons during the BCS era. Utah has two top-five finishes during the BCS era (more than Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State). Utah produced current Florida coach Urban Meyer (who became the first coach from a non-BCS school to crash the BCS party) and current coach Kyle Whittingham (who was the last coach to expose an SEC school in a BCS bowl game). BYU and Boise State were possible choices here, too, but the Utes have flourished on the national stage more than once.
