Is it luck or are the Utes just good?

I've heard lately Utah has been winning because of luck. What exactly is luck and how much does it influence the outcome of a game? That's a difficult question to answer because I don't think anyone can differentiate luck from reality. Is it lucky when a field goal in the waning minutes of a game...
