The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that Snow College running back Matt Asiata has committed to the Utes.
Asiata, a highly touted JC running back, had been recruited by former Utah and current Florida head coach Urban Meyer. While at Snow, Asiata ran for 1,491 yards, had 15 touch downs and led them to an 11-1 record. This is big news for the Utes, who struggled this season with their running game.
Utah also picked up a defensive lineman, 6'2, 260 pound Koa Misi out of Santa Rosa Junior College in California. That puts Utah's recruiting class at 17 now.
