What to expect when Utah has the ball:
The Utes should run and pass the ball fairly well against a mediocre Aggies defense. While USU held Arkansas to just 20 points last week, their defense may have a difficult time containing Utah.
What to expect when Utah State has the ball:
USU's best receiver was kicked off the team after some personal problems, so their strength will rely in their running game. Running back Marcus Cross will be the Aggies most important offensive player and that may prove to be a problem, as the Utes run defense has been stout this season.
How the Utes win:
Play solid ball and don't overlook the Aggies. Utah State is not the better team and there should be no reason why the Utes struggle against them. Utah can't be looking toward their first conference game next week. Utah also needs to put the Aggies away early, they can't have them hanging around all game because it makes it that much easier for USU to pull an upset, especially since it's a rivalry game.
