The Utes are ready to rekindle a long forgotten rivalry with Colorado. The home-and-home series begins in 2012, with the Utes traveling to Boulder and then the Buffaloes coming to Salt Lake City the following year. When the two meet, it will be their first meeting since the 1962 season. Utah and Colorado were members of both the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the Mountain States Conference until the Buffs left for the Big Eight in 1947. From 1919 until 1958 the schools met yearly and then met only twice again in 1961 and 1962. Colorado leads the all-time series 30-24-3, however the Utes won the last two games played.
