Grandfather Poston gets a 7th year

Darryl Poston should be back for another year, as the NCAA has given him an extra year of eligibility. That means Poston's collegiate career will total 7 years when he's finally finished with the Utes. In fact, Poston played on the 2001 USC team the Utes defeated in the Las Vegas Bowl, two coaches ago.

While Poston never lived up to the hype last season, he was an adequate back and I don't see how his returning hurts Utah. Asiata should make a strong run at the starting position, but Poston's leadership and overall decent play will definitely be a positive for a Utah offense that struggled last season.

Here's to Poston having a great final year and adding some team leadership on the offensive side of the ball.
