Cougars escape with a win against New Mexico and solidify themselves atop the conference at 2-0. This was a big victory for BYU, as it's only one of two tough road games. Now they're only a win away from most likely sweeping through the conference once again (at Wyoming). | |||

Wyoming is rolling along at 3-1 and could make some noise with a win over TCU Saturday. If the Pokes do win that game, they join BYU as a champion contender, while most likely knocking the Frogs out of championship contention. | |||

After stumbling early, TCU has won two straight and are slowly getting back to respectability. Saturday's game against Wyoming in Laramie is a must win if they have any hope of winning a conference championship. | |||

The Lobos had a tough loss Saturday against BYU, but are proving to be one of the most talented teams Rocky Long has coached. New Mexico isn't out of the hunt yet, but won't get a chance to win a game until next week, as they're off this weekend. | |||

I knew the Falcons wouldn't stay that high for long and now they're quickly falling. Air Force will need to get back on the winning end Saturday against UNLV, or it could be another long season. | |||

Beat Utah and then turn around and lose to Nevada. Yup, more reason to believe UNLV wasn't that great of a team and Utah had no business losing to them. If they lose to Air Force this Saturday, any good will Mike Sanford bought himself with that victory over Utah will be lost. | |||

They're only here because CSU and SDSU suck. Win Friday against Louisville and maybe then we can talk about climbing the ladder of respectability. As of right now, I'm not taking anything away from their win against possibly the worst Utah State team ever. | |||

Losing to TCU isn't that bad, but CSU has now lost 11 straight and it's become abundantly clear this is probably setting up to be Sonny Lubick's final season in Fort Collins. He'll get a chance to snap that 11 game losing streak Saturday, however, against the just as lowly Aztecs. | |||

The Aztecs stink. Cincinnati is a good team, but to lose 52-23 at home? Inexcusable. That score is more fit for a game against USC, not the Bearcats. | |||
