Chris Jones to stay on as Utah assistant

Jim Boylen has decided to keep Chris Jones on as one of Utah's assistant coaches. Jones had been an assistant with the Utes since 2004 when Ray Giacoletti was hired. It's unclear however if Boylen will retain Marty Wilson, though that seems less likely now that Jones will stay with the Utes.

Jones played for Utah from 1992 to 1994 and was a video coordinator after he graduated until 1997, when he became an assistant at Westminster. He has mostly recruited instate players, which is probably one of the reasons Boylen kept him on. The other could be his relationship with players, as he has a great rapport with the current roster.

Boylen was at the Final Four last week where he possibly interviewed coaches, so I expect to hear the names of other assistants soon.
