Matt Asiata could be back to practice Monday

If Matt Asiata is going to be Utah's starting back against Oregon State, he better return to practice quickly. Asiata, who went down last week with an ankle sprain, is set to return this Monday. Coach Whittingham told the Deseret News that if he were to return Monday, he should be ready to go this Monday.

This is big for Utah, because they lacked any consistent running game last season. While Darryl Poston showed signs of greatness last season, he was far too sporadic for the Utes' offense to really work in an efficient running game. With Asiata and Brian Johnson (an option quarterback) playing this season, the stability should be there.

Hopefully Asiata is good to go this Monday and can start against Oregon State, while ripping it up and showing Utah fans that we have a definitive back for this season.
