Well it seems the suspense is over, as Ray Stowers has been named the starting running back for the Oregon State game. While this comes as a bit of a surprise, since Matt Asiata looked like the runaway leader, it doesn't mean he will see most of the touches against the Beavers. In fact, don't be surprised if both Darryl Poston and Matt Asiata are out on the field more than Stowers, especially Asiata, who could prove to be an asset.
It was also reported by Kyle Whittingham that Darrell Mack will redshirt for the 2007 season, while freshman running back Eddie Wide should see some reps as well Thursday night.
