Game Preview

What to expect when Utah has the ball: Anything. Utah is going to throw out Grady, Johnson and Louks, they'll run the ball, pass the ball and work in the spread option as well. Against UNLV, the Utes should put up impressive yardage and score a ton of points. If they don't, well, it could be a difficult game for Utah and all the good mojo they had heading out of the UCLA game will be lost.

What to expect when UNLV has the ball: What Utah ran in 2004. Mike Sanford has not ditched the spread option, even though it has proven rather impotent since he took over UNLV for the 2005 season. The Rebels just aren't very good on offense right now and will need to blow up if they're going to have a shot against Utah.

How the Utes win: Do what they've done well against the Rebels for the past 30 years. Utah should not lose this game and if they stick to their gameplan, aren't overlooking UNLV and come out and play Utah football, they should find an easy path to victory.
