Angry face emoticon!

If I had an angry face emoticon for a pissed off fan breaking things, I would use it. But I do not, so I can only type out my feelings.

This loss hurts a lot and reminds me so much of the 2005 goal line debacle against Colorado State. In that game, we watched as Utah's offense rolled down the field with the game on the line and set up for a suspenseful climax that undoubtedly would go Utah's way. Except, on 4th and one, they failed to punch it in. CSU holds and celebrates a game saving stop.

Fast forward three years and nearly an identical scenario is unfolding -- and it's even against a team from Colorado! Utes roll down field, set up a first and goal and fail to score, even when they were given three chances from the two yard line. Pathetic. Seriously pathetic. Rage inducing pathetic. The play calling on that drive should be recorded and set out to every college football team as a what not to do when facing a goal line situation and a desperate need for a score.

Utah's 0-2 for the first time since 2000 and most likely will start the season 0-3. I don't want to say it's over, but it's over. If we finish above .500, I'll do a jig nude in the middle of Rice-Eccles Stadium. Ok, maybe I'm not that confident the season is toast, but I think it's fairly clear where this team is heading. And it ain't pretty.

I'll have more on the game later tonight.
