Can Utah keep it rolling?
I'm going on record right now to say Utah will win today. Maybe it's a bold move, but with San Diego State losing Kyle Spain for what could be the entire season and the fact Utah barely lost to them earlier in the year, I have a good feeling about this one.
So how will Utah win? Well simple, continue playing the type of basketball that has led them to three straight. During that stretch Utah owns an impressive victory over UNLV and a tough win against the Falcons on the road. It finally seems the Utes are putting it all together for a second half surge. And what better way to establish this fact than by winning four straight for the first time this season. That's something Utah can do with a victory today against San Diego State.
The Utes will also win because, well, they're celebrating the team's 100th anniversary and it would be really bad to lose on a day like that. So, yeah, it just isn't going to happen. Utah will not lose.
So who are the Aztecs? Well they're struggling. As mentioned, they lost Kyle Spain and are only 6-4 in conference play after starting 5-2. That includes a two game losing streak against TCU and a home loss to New Mexico -- a team San Diego State had beaten on the road earlier in the year.
Because of all of that, as I've mentioned a few times before, Utah will win.
Now a quick look at both teams.
