Chris Jones, like Marty Wilson not too long ago, has left the Utah program, Mike Lewis at the Tribune is reporting. Jones had been an assistant at Utah under Giacoletti and was retained, along with Wilson, when Boylen took over. It's unclear why he left the program, but it doesn't appear Boylen and Jones had a falling out. He'll be missed, since he was an important role in recruiting locally, so hopefully Utah can find a suitable replacement.
Wilson had left the team earlier in the year to take an assistant job with Pepperdine, where he's expected to be groomed for the head coaching position there down the road. Replacements for either coach have not been named, but don't be surprised if Boylen hires someone with strong Utah ties.
