Michigan offense slow out of the gate?

Possible trouble on the horizon for Michigan, the Detroit Free Press reports. Apparently, the Wolverine offense has yet to "wow" head coach Rich Rodriguez, who was known for his explosive offenses at West Virginia. Rodriguez told the Free Press, "I thought it was an average practice overall. I didn't think we progressed a whole lot. I liked what I saw out of the defense today. But our offense didn't take any step forward."

Obviously it's still early, but this could show a major weakness heading into their showdown with Utah, since the Utes are expected to have a fairly solid offense themselves. One of the factors, of course, is the inexperience, as the Wolverines lost most their offense from last year's 9-4 team.

Hopefully the Michigan offense continues to struggle and they only start hitting their groove after August 30th!
