I like the world tilt, it sounds...high class, don't you think?
With BYU winning at San Diego State last night (drats), tonight's game against UNLV is now pretty much a must-win. Losing this one would make even a split of the Mountain West title difficult to attain, however, victory would almost assure it. But winning is not going to be easy, even if the game is being held in Salt Lake.
The Rebels are tough and have already defeated the Utes this season. Though they're most likely out of the conference title hunt, they still own impressive victories over Louisville, Arizona and swept the season series with the Cougars. They reached that sweep Saturday with a 75-74 victory over BYU and UNLV hasn't played since.
Utah, on the other hand, has had an entire week off to rest since defeating the Colorado State Rams in overtime last Wednesday. The Utes have won seven straight, thirteen of forteen and can reach the 20-win mark with a victory tonight for the first time since the 2005 season. This victory also could lock up Utah's position in the NCAA Tournament and as I mentioned, would almost assure them at least a share of the conference crown.
The game kicks off at 8:00 and is on the mtn.
Go Utes!
