This seems to be a semi-tradition for the Utah-TCU game. In 2008, Utah unveiled their black jerseys against the Frogs and a year later, TCU had their own jersey change for the big game. Well for 2010, the Utes are back to showing off a new uniform. This time, though, it's to honor the troops.
From Under Armour's website:
WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT GAMES
For the second year in a row, select Under Armour®-sponsored NCAA football teams will show their support for the Wounded Warrior Project by gearing up in customized WWP uniforms. On the backs of each jersey, player names will be replaced with different core values, including Honor, Commitment, Service, Country, Duty, and Freedom. In 2009 jersey auctions and product sales from the games raised nearly $200,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.
This year, UA teams will gear up again in WWP-inspired camouflage uniforms for the following games:
Texas Tech vs. Missouri
Utah vs. TCU
