The 2012 Holy War will get a very late start this year.
Utah and BYU are set to kick off at 8:00 Salt Lake time with what could be their final meeting in a very long while.
That's a pretty late start, but it does afford them a national audience and will officially be the first home game Utah plays on ESPN since beating Air Force 38-35 in 2005 (that year, Utah played SDSU on ABC). Of course, from 2006-2010, the Utes were under the Mountain West Conference TV umbrella and last year, no games made it to the network.
Utah will also play USC on ESPN, a mega-showdown set for Thursday, October 4th. Utah's game against Colorado is set to start at 1:00, though, nothing has been released on what network it will air on this year.
Finally, the Utes will open the season at home against Northern Colorado at 5:15 Salt Lake time. That game will air on the Pac-12 Network and will prove to be a pretty early start for a Thursday game (Utah and Montana State kicked off at 6:00 last year).
The remainder of the TV schedule will be released at a later time.
