One week...

One week until we get to see whether Jordan Wynn has what it takes to be a great Utah quarterback.

One week until we get to see whether Brian Johnson really is ready to call plays.

One week until we get to see John White IV tearing up defenses.

One week until we get to see Star Lotulelei impose his will on opposing offenses.

One week until we begin our second season in the Pac-12.

One week until we pack into Rice-Eccles Stadium to watch our Utes ... win.

In one week, while summer won't officially be over, for all intents and purposes, it will be. If you're in school, you're already starting back. If your kids are in school, they've already started back or are just getting ready to do so. The days are getting shorter and the nights a bit longer - soon, the leaves will begin to fall from the trees and before you know it, snow will be on the ground. It will be Halloween and then Thanksgiving and then Christmas and then New Year's ... and the end of the college football season.

The wait is often long, which isn't helped by the anticipation - and yet, as slow as it is to come, it rapidly leaves. This season will soon be over, even before we start it. It's weird how time works like that. You wait for something for so long and then it's gone even before you're settled in ... at least, it seems to feel that way.

In one week, the season begins and our hype is either realized or overstated. We'll cheer...we'll groan...we'll swear and hopefully, when it's all said and done, we'll relish. Because whatever happens this season, there are bound to be some good memories and moments that you won't want to forget. It's those moments that get you through the winter and spring and summer before we can start up again and create even more.

In one week, chaos begins. Are you ready?
