Jay Hill, who's spent his entire non-high school career at Utah as either a player or coach, will leave to become the new head coach of Weber State.
The news was announced Wednesday evening. He replaces the fired Jody Spears, who, in 2012, replaced Ron McBride. Hill played under McBride when he coached the Utes in the 90s and early 00s.
As coach at Utah, Hill oversaw the special teams and running backs, and was also instrumental in recruiting locally.
Obviously, there is no indication on who'll replace him.
Thoughts?
