Sadly, Utah football is about to enter its longest hibernation period of the year. With spring ball all but wrapped up, and the annual spring game set for today, the Utes won't see any official action again until later this year when fall camp opens. It's an extensive period that includes the remainder of spring and a good portion of summer. If you live and breathe football, the withdrawals certainly could prove difficult. Hopefully we'll get through it together.
Don't get too down, though! We still have the spring game and that should prove fun. Unfortunately, the weather doesn't look too good - as it's supposed to rain. I don't know if it'll actually be raining during the game itself, but it could hamper the tailgating festivities and the overall crowd.
So, if you're going, bundle up and wear something that can potentially protect you from the rain.
If you're going, tailgating opens at 6:00 in the morning, a live D.J. will then perform around 9:00 and then the Ultimate Tailgate Food Championship competition will happen at 10:00.
The MUSS Flag Football game is scheduled for 11:00 and then the Alumni Game for noon.
The official Red-White game will begin at 1:00 and fans are allowed to sit wherever in the stadium (unless a section is closed off - and of course, this doesn't mean you can go park your butt down in the end zone...you know what I mean!).
If you're out of state, or don't care to brave the potential rainy weather, the game will be broadcast on Pac-12 TV - the first-ever time a spring game has been broadcast live nationally at Utah.
If you're looking for a roster to keep track of all the players, you're in luck. Just click here and voila!
Get out, enjoy the fun and hopefully it's a good day!
