Utah's improbable run continued tonight as the Lady Utes upset Kansas State on the road in overtime. It was an impressive victory against a solid Big 12 team and a performance that helped give Utah a lead for most of the game.
The victory puts the Utes in the WNIT Finals - their first trip as a program. They will take on Drexel, out in Philadelphia, for the chance to be proclaimed WNIT Champions. The game will broadcast on CBS Sports Network (I'm assuming that's the old CSTV) this Saturday at 1:00 Salt Lake time.
It's a shame Utah couldn't land the championship - but they've already won on the road four times in this tournament, so, victory is definitely attainable.
Drexel beat Iona, Harvard, Bowling Green, Auburn and Florida to reach the finals. Utah beat Long Beach State, San Diego, Pacific, St. Mary's and Kansas state.
