With almost two weeks until Utah's matchup against the USC Trojans, today the game time and TV was announced. The game will kickoff at 8pm MT up at Rice-Eccles Stadium, and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1. This obviously gives us the time to be at Rice-Eccles Stadium for kickoff, but we also now know what color to wear. Almost immediately after the game time was announced, Utah football announced on Twitter that this will be the annual blackout game.
This game lines up to be a perfect blackout game, being in late October, a night game against a big name team like USC. Utah was undefeated in blackout games as members of the Pac-12 up until last year after the loss against UCLA, a heart breaker that included 6 interceptions from Travis Wilson.
Utah's debut blackout game was back in 2008 against TCU, which was a monumental 13-10 win for the Utes. So Ute fans, go get your black Utah coat out of the closet, and get ready to blackout the Trojans.
Have you heard? #USCvsUTAH at home on October 25 at 8pm will be a #BLACKOUT! More details later from @utahathletics pic.twitter.com/xBUJ47zGO8
