Utah Climbs to 18 in Both Polls

The Utes continue to climb the polls but are having difficulty climbing over the mass of one-loss teams from all over the country.

After Utah pulled off a dramatic late-game touchdown drive to beat then No. 20 USC 24-21, one could reasonably expect Utah to climb in the polls, but the Utes only inched up one slot in the AP Poll to No. 18 and jumped into the same position in the USA Tdoay/Amway Coaches Poll.

Two-loss LSU leaped the Utes into the 16/17 spot after their home victory over former No. 3 Ole Miss.

Utah also climbed to No. 17 in ESPN's Power Rankings, as well as No. 2 in the ESPN Pac-12 Blog's conference rankings, their highest since joining the conference.
